I was so happy when I woke up. The bed was the most comfortable in my life. I realized after a while that I was sleeping on a train. And just in my normal clothes, on top of the quilt. And my lungs started to hurt. And the ears. It was like I suddenly had got myself a tonsillitis. I half-slept until seven. I shared the room with a German couple who were going from Hamburg to Crete. I brushed my teeth and threw away the snus that I had got from the angry Finn yesterday. Today will be a sober day, as already planned before. I like drinking too much, to suddenly need to avoid it because of alcoholism 🙂

In Zagreb I found a pizza and a cafe and got the best company you can imagine. Greta Thunberg on the radio and this cat under the table. Don’t tell my doctor that I snuggled the $#!” of him!

I’ve never been to Croatia before, and this time I only gave it an hour. But anyway here is Tomislav, Croatia’s first king, 925-928, made wars etc.

Here’s the station.

It’s got a church so that you can practice your Christianity.

Here is the train to Belgrade. It was nice listening to Barbra Streisand while watching the birds fly over the fields and factories.

We stopped a lot. The engine was currently on/off/on etc. That was quite a difference from the trains in Germany! Here we have stopped to enjoy this Volvo tractor.

Coming to Belgrad, I had a hard time finding my hotel which was on a small street in a labyrinth by the station. Here’s the restaurant next to it

Menu in Serbian.

I loved my salad. Pretty normal ingredients, but tasty in a special way.

I’m going to bed now. This is the most exciting you’ll see!
