The hangover …

I felt like the cat above this morning. And the cats were lying on top of me so I couldn’t move for an hour, despite how thirsty I got. But eventually they found new adventures into Giselle’s room and I could start to meet the day.

Giselle has got cat boxes in her own bed. That’s so sweet that I don’t even know how to start complementing it.

The things you need, from the left: 1) Cat, 2) Beautiful Argentinian boyfriend, 3) São Paulo
Breakfast! Mangoes and bananas.
But how about some Japanese food?

Giselle lives close to Japantown, so off we went!

Japanese traffic
Japanese newspaper and not so Japanese homeless animals.
Brazilian version of a Japanese pond, complete with blue plastic shoe.
Mizuno was born in Kouchi and died in São Paulo.

I was a tiny bit disappointed by Japantown, as it felt like a huge tourist trap with stuff being sold to tourists and not to Japanese people. Then again, that is a slightly racist feeling of me, and quite fun since I’m the most tourist of everyone here. Most Japanese people came to Brazil for three generations ago, and are culturally as Brazilian as anyone, living all over the place. So this place is just a taste of it, suitable mostly for … Brazilians. So the noodles we got were packed with meat of all kinds. But hunger is like that, you order and you eat. I have recommendations of restaurants, but they were not open.

Last beer in very good company.

I’m starting a sober week tomorrow, so here is my last beer before that. Giselle made me company and it was nice. Then I took an Uber home to Pam who had made awesome salad with even more awesome garlic sauce. We watched a superhero Marvel movie. I like superhero movies such as Guardians of the Galaxy and Deadpool, but this Marvel story was … a little bit too complicated for me. Pam had to explain everything. I’m so sorry. But I liked Spider-man. Goodnight.
