Sorry, the pictures are still in my dead phone. But tomorrow I started with the new one, so there will be some! Once I have got today’s pictures out of the old phone, I’ll add more text here. Because the pictures are always inspiring.

Today we started with the most complicated StreetSmart. Like, the game has four different modes. We played with the easiest one yesterday, and now we played the hardest one, all four. That makes the game quite different. And I think more fun. And won.

Then we started World War III, which is Nate’s favourite game in a more general sense, as if he could work on it forever. It’s a war game reminding of Axis’n’Allies, with lots of troops everywhere, and entirely based on actual facts of how big countries’ armies and economies are. Besides the countries you can play, there are also minor countries with their own armies and money (and sometimes nukes) that you both bid on. And then there are a number of neutral countries such as Sweden with a tiny bit of defence.

Then I made dinner! Nate still remembers the pancakes I made in Essen long time ago, so I tried to make them again … it went OK. Quite good for not having done it for a few years. But I think I should have added olive oil instead of butter! I think that was the secret.

Then we played again. This bidding on neutral countries made it a very economical game. So while Nate nuked me, made all of Russia a hell to live in (well, already more of a hell), I kept bidding up all those little allies, sometimes with the money from previous allies and ended up with most of the world. So I won his own game 🙂
